  15.           The _x_k_b_c_o_m_p keymap compiler converts a description of an XKB
  16.           keymap into one of several output formats.   The most common
  17.           use for xkbcomp is to create a compiled keymap file (.xkm
  18.           extension) which can be read directly by XKB-capable X
  19.           servers or utilities.   The keymap compiler can also produce
  20.           C header files or XKB source files.  The C header files
  21.           produced by xkbcomp can be included by X servers or
  22.           utilities that need a built-in default keymap.  The XKB
  23.           source files produced by _x_k_b_c_o_m_p are fully resolved and can
  24.           be used to verify that the files which typically make up an
  25.           XKB keymap are merged correctly or to create a single file
  26.           which contains a complete description of the keymap.

  28.           The _s_o_u_r_c_e may specify an X display, or an ._x_k_b or _d_e_p_e_n_d_s

  39.           appropriate.  When compiling a single map from a file which
  40.           contains several maps, _x_k_b_c_o_m constructs the destination

  42.           of the map to be used.
